Phoebis sennae, ventral

This is Phoebis sennae, or the Cloudless Sulphur. I used to find these in my neighborhood growing up and always loved their billiant yellow color. Seeing this one at the local butterfly exhibit was like spotting an old friend. I would have loved to get a shot of this butterfly with its wings open, as the dorsal side is quite lovely, but the butterfly had other ideas.
